SNOW CHANCES THIS WEEK
Many have the week off and it will be a pretty nice week overall. Highs will be in the 40's to near 50 to start the week, but we expect that to change with a strong cold front Tuesday Night. This will set the stage for some snow showers, though light, Tuesday night/Wednesday Morning and again on Friday. At this point, no real accumulation tuesday night. We are still watching Friday for a light accumulation.
We'll keep you posted. Be sure to REFRESH for the latest.
MONSTER NEXT WEEK
We are watching a major storm for January 7th & 8th. This will be one that tries to tap arctic air and puts us in a deep freeze for until at least mid January. We will continue to monitor this storm and let u know if you'll need a shovel or a sump pump working!

NEXT ONE IS RAIN...BUT WATCHING SUNDAY
We dedicate today's post and this section to Jeff Terlinden, and some of the pricing guys (Guenther and Neil) who are a little refresh challenged. In fact we'll do the whole write up in green to help the point.
Ok...we'll admit...When we woke up Tuesday morning to nothing but 5 flurries in the driveway, we had to pinch ourselves to see if it was a dream. Watching the Radar fill in monday afternoon and night, surely more than 5 flurries would have collected on the ground. Alvin will be detailing the storm in "THE STORM IN ALVIN'S HEAD" below shortly to explain what happened. After all this is Weather Logic.
Now on to the "Rant"....the advantage Weather Logic has over most of the local and national weather stations is the "Luxury" of updating the page anytime we notice a storm changing. Naturally, we give you our best thoughts as early as possible. Many times that will be before the storm actually forms. A little like looking into our highly expensive crystal ball....but some situations Mother Nature likes to mix it up a bit. Monday was a classic example of "Needing To Change With The Times". We had to update the site late monday night as we saw the dry air come into the region.
Anyone who only saw the post from Monday afternoon or didn't REFRESH the page Tuesday morning saw out of date information. Most know about the Refresh button...It's such a genius invention. It's not hard to find...but we know there are some, like Terlinden, who are REFRESH CHALLENGED. So..we are going to detail the relatively simple steps for you to always make sure you have the latest Update. Now Jeff, if you get lost on these steps, look me up and our tech support team will help you.
- Go to http://www.keithscast.blogspot.com/
- Hit the REFRESH BUTTON.
- Repeat everytime you visit the page.
NEXT ONE IS RAIN
Rain should move back in Thursday afternoon and last into Friday around lunch. Nothing frozen is expected. Highs Thursday will be near 40.
OVERPECK-CAST
With all the family and friends coming to town, everyone wants to know if we'll have a White Christmas. We've decided to open up the polls on this one and let you decide. See the poll on the top right of the page to vote. We are watching a storm for this Sunday and for Christmas eve that would bring snow. We'll have much more details on Sunday's storm towards week end and Christmas early next week.
For now, the cold and stormy pattern looks to continue through Christmas week. Any warm up we get will be out ahead of approaching storms...so if it gets "warm" (upper 40's and 50's) you know somethings coming!

"WARM"-ER WEEKEND
PERFECT WEEKEND FOR...
Lots of things actually come to mind....but this weekend looks to be the last good chance to get up on the roof to clean out the gutters or string up the lights.
We are expecting high in the low 40's for Saturday and middle 50's on Sunday with some passing clouds. Sunday will be windy, so HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS.
Next week it looks like we head back to a stormy pattern. We are watching another cold front for Monday that will stall out near the tri-state. This is critical as storms will be riding up the front next week. Those south will get rain, those on the front will get an ICE storm and just a few miles to the north will be a snowstorm. As usual, we are on the fence again..we'll keep you posted.
Be sure to REFRESH the page when you return for the latest.

MONSOON TUESDAY...SURPRISE THURSDAY?
SOOO CLOSE...
While everybody focuses on the monster storm effecting the country on Tuesday and the heavy rain in the Ohio Valley, our focus shifts towards Thursday and Friday. We are monitoring the possibility for an accumulating snow very close to the tristate Thursday night.
This smaller, yet potent storm will form on the heels of our Tuesday soaker. The storm is expected to form Wednesday night in the Gulf of Mexico. As of Tuesday morning it was expected to run up the east coast and miss Cincy completely. We needed about a 300 mile shift Westward to be in the "Action". Tuesday, the models shifted the storm about 150 in our direction, just skirting the area. We have another day and a half to watch it. If we get anymore of a shift west, we'll be talking about snow here Thursday night and Friday.
As of Wednesday morning the models bring the edge of the snow to Brown and Adams county. Effecting the Tristate, but only our eastern most counties. We have a little more time to watch it...This one is going to be CLOSE!!!!

"I SPY"....A MIDWEST MONSTER
UPDATE: 8:00am
25 Degrees with Freezing Rain, Sleet, and a little snow are moving through the area. The side roads are icy but the main interstate lanes are fine. We expect it to move through by 11am then temperatures should rise above freezing. The week ahead looks quite bumpy...we'll be updating the site with our latetst thoughts later today.
Whether you like the snow, or go into a fetal position when you see the white stuff, you have agree that this time of years brings excitement. We see the potential for some "Excitement" over the next week.
FIRST...SATURDAY'S CLIPPER
The "Alberta Clipper" (weak storm from Canada) is still on track for Saturday. Expect snow showers and light snow around during the day on Saturday. Given how cold it's been, we may see an inch or so under the heavier bands.
EXCITEMENT NEXT WEEK
The Real Excitement will come next week. We see 3 storms that will be close enough to bring us an exciting week. One will be a Monday/Tuesday event and the other 2 come in late in the week. All 3 will be working with some cold air and a lot of moisture. ICE, SNOW, and RAIN are all a concern.
We are going to monitor the strength and track of the storm and will focus on "PART I" for Monday with updates this weekend. Stay Tuned and be sure to REFRESH the page when you return for the latest!!!!

"WARM" WEDNESDAY
The sun should come back out late afternoon on Tuesday and we should warm nicely on Wednesday to near 50. Now, this time of year, when we warm up it's usually because another storm is on that way....and that's exactly what we'll have.
Our next system will roll through the area Wednesday night. As you may be hearing on the radio and TV, this one is expected to be mainly rain. We are expecting it to rain overnight Wednesday and finish off as snow showers early Thursday morning. Any accumulation should be well north or our area.
A Major Milestone has been reached on the Internet. Weather Logic is 1 year old 11/28/2008. With over 16,000 hits, we've had a heck of an opening year. Hopefully all of you have been able to stay ahead of the weather and it was a little easier to prepare for what's coming. As long as you keep coming back, we'll keep reporting out!
Be sure to check out "THE STORM IN ALVIN'S HEAD" below for the memories of our first year.
