PERFECT LABOR DAY WEEKEND

LABOR DAY WEEKEND
A perfect Labor Day weekend in shaping up. Sunny skies and warm temperatures. Perfect for anything you have planned out doors....with the exception of a green lawn. Take a look at the weather forecaster at the bottom of the page for the details.

Be sure to check out "The Storm in Alvin's Head" for an update on the impact Gustav may have on your holiday plans.

Lil' SISTER HANNA
Yep...we've moved Gustav down on the page. There's a new kid in town. While everyone focuses on Gustav, his little sister should be born on Thursday and is heading in the general direction of Florida.

GUSTAV THE GREAT
After an extended stay in Hispaniola, Gustav is back on the move and has Jamaica in its sights. We expect it to track right over Jamaica Thurs/Fri and head then begin a more Northward turn towards the Gulf of Mexico. We expect that track to continue through the weekend...pushing the storm West of Florida. That doesn't mean it couldn't curve back east next week, but for now we believe the storm will be South and West of Florida by the weekend. Besides...this is no Fay. We expect this to be a Cat 3 Hurricane before all is said an done...and it will be the Wind everyone talks about and not the rain.

Fay's Coming to Cincy

C'MON FAY...THAT'S WEAK
And when I say little...I mean very little. We will be lucky to get 1/2" out of this storm as most of the moisture went into West Virginia and PA. We'll have another small shot for some rain on Friday as another cold front passes, but wouldn't count on that rain to green up your yard either.

GUSTAV THE GREAT
Hey...Florida...You can relax a little. You may be hearing that Gustav is targeting your state, but that is only temporary. We expect Gustav to continue on on it's NW track most of Tuesday then slow down in forward speed. The steering currents will change and force the storm on a more westerly track near the south shore of cuba.

Take a look at the interactive weather forecaster. This will be on the page when there is a "lull" in the action for Cincinnati. There is a weekly forecast as well as hour by hour. I will be back with my forecasts and weather commentary when there is a threat for an accumulating snow or severe weather in the area.

Finally Fay Pulls Away

UPDATES FROM FLORIDA
Case in Point...More Rain Than Wind

Patrick's Pool!

IS THAT A RIVER OR A STREET?

ARAN AND HER FRIEND FAY:

The Interactive radar to the right is now centered on Central Florida. Watch Fay meander like a lost puppy.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR FAY
Fay will now slowly move through the panhandle and scrape the coast. This should keep it as a tropical storm. A storm moving from the West will interact with Fay as we head through the weekend and choke it to death. Literally

We'll keep you posted! REFRESH FOR THE LATEST UPDATES.

NEW FEATURE
We've added FL Power Outage map on the right side toolbar. If your power is out, hopefully your cell phone will access the map!

FAY...LEAVE ALREADY!

NICE STUFF AHEAD

FROM ABOVE TO BELOW
Finally, we have a break in the heat and we'll actually be below normal in temperatures over the next few days. Humidity will retreat and it will feel more like late Sept around here than early August.
