HOT STUFF COMING

FLAT OUT HOT
*&$% HOT...That' will be the phrase everyone uses as we go under a HEAT EMERGENCY until Wednesday. We'll have highs in the mid 90's with oppressive humidity. It will be tough to be outside the first part of the week.
There's an old saying in the farmer's almanac (which I've found to be pretty reliable in long term forecasts)...."IF THE FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST IS UNUSUALLY WARM, EXPECT THE WINTER TO BE WHITE AND LONG." Not a bad thought as we sweat out the next few days.

RELIEF IS COMING
A cold front will come though late Tuesday and last until Wednesday morning. With it, it will clear out the humidity and drop the temperatures dramatically (to the low 80s)...And do to special request, we've brought back the Countdown! Now Timmerding and Nicole will not hold their breath for the next front.

Keep the Fireworks Dry

Soggy Independence Day???

Mother Nature looks like she is taking charge of the Fireworks this year. These may not be ones that you "ohhh" and "awww" about. Another cold front is expected to drop down and stall out over top of the region. As a result, one storm system after another will use this front as a track and mow over top of the region. This will bring off and on showers and thunderstorms to the area. Here's what we think will happen:
Rain and storms move in Thursday around noon...die out overnight.
Rain and storms come back Friday around noon and die out over night. The later the fireworks, the better.
Finally saturday looks to just have spotty showers around in the afternoon. Hit and miss kind of stuff...NO WASH-OUT. BUSINESS TIMMERFARM!Expect the temperatures for the rest of the week to remain in the 80s during the day and 60s at night.

TROPICAL DEPRESSION ON THE MAP
A tropical depression has formed just off the western coast of Africa and is moving west over the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It is forecast to become a Tropical storm and would be name Bertha, however the forecast track keeps it out over the open water with no threat to the USA. We'll keep watching and let you know if anything changes.
