BARK IS WORSE THAN BITE

THE WEEK AHEAD
The week ahead promises nice weather with highs in the 70's and 80's. Wed and Thursday it warms up another cold front will come through to keep us in check Thurs night and Friday. Mother nature may be lighting up the sky on her own as we get closer to the 4th of July. Details and timelines to come as we close in on the big date.

THE WEEK AHEAD

A LITTLE LESS ACTION
Barring some scattered storms monday afternoon (mainly on the East Side), the week ahead looks pretty nice. The Ohio river has finally calmed down and is back to it's "relatively clear" state and the boats have returned! The week ahead should do nothing to change that!

Now...if you have to mow the grass, I would HIGHLY recommend you do so Monday or Tuesday, as the 90's and HIGH humidity return for later in the week.

STORM WATCH
First...NEW FEATURE...We have added a flashing "Storm Watch" to the top right corner of the page to alert you when significant storms are on their way. You will be able to read more details about it here in the main section of the blog.

Severe weather looks to be returning to the Tri-State Friday afternoon and overnight. We first mentioned this storm early in the week, and it appears the storm has sped up enough that we will be left with a nice weekend. The storm will happen in two parts...one will come through Friday afternoon / evening and the actual cold front will move through just after midnight.

We should the sky start do darken late morning friday and get a few pop up storms that develop out ahead of the cold front. Any storm that does occur will have the potential to be severe given the current environment. The main threat from these storms will be large hail and very strong straight line winds. Chances for Tornadoes look to be slim but cannot be completely ruled out. We'll be posting the watches and Warnings as they occur.

Check out "The Storm in Alvin's Head" below for more details on how Friday's storms compare to the Severe Weather from last week.

BLUE SKIES AND HAIL

OH "HAIL"!
No, that is not the southern way of saying where the devil lives, but more of an indication what may come for a visit on Wednesday afternoon.

Hard to believe that we hardly have a cloud in the sky this morning, but yet there is a threat for Hail producing Thunderstorms later in the day. Cold air has set up shop just above the ground causing great instability. Not everyone will see them as the storms that do form will be more of the pop-up kind and give us 20%-30% coverage in the area.

We've added a new Radar below that will tell you the storms that have Hail in them and the direction they are moving. Click on the image to get a closer look and refresh often. Keep watching to see if you are one of the "lucky ones" to get a free ice cube for your evening drink....compliments of mother nature.

SPRING-LIKE WEEK

THE WEEK AHEAD
ok...Wednesday's storms have passed...Back to the nice week ahead. Highs will be in the upper 70s . We are watching a chance for rain come Saturday however. We'll keep you posted on that.

NEW FEATURE
We have added the web's ONE AND ONLY Countdown To The Next Storm. It's unique to Weather Logic as we are the only place that can see precisely when the next significant weather will return. The feature will have a title and countdown to the next significant weather in the area. it will include things like fronts or severe weather. The "pop up" storm is too small and effects just a few that it will not be included, but larger systems like snow storms, fronts, and tropical systems will be there. Keep a watch and you can plan for the next significant weather event.

Monday...Monday....But A Nice Week

THE WEEK AHEAD
We are finally going to get a spring-like week for the final week of Spring. Highs should be in the mid 70's with very little chances for rain...once we are past early afternoon Monday.

Storms are just south of the area Monday morning. They are forming out ahead of a cold front that is going to bring us the nice week of weather. We should be in the clear early afternoon.

NEED A LITTLE SPEED

NEED FOR SPEED

We have the potential for a Very nice weekend coming up, but we need the cold front to get here on Friday. There will be a storm system coming late in the week that will again clear the humidity and drop the temperatures. The timing looks to be the only issue.

For this early in the week, the storm looks to be moving in late Friday and go into Saturday, but if it could speed up by only 12 hours, we will see a perfect weekend for running your "Amazing Race" or sitting on the river for the Brooks & Dunn concert!
