BURIED ALIVE!!!!!!!

7PM UPDATE WELCOME TO THE SHOW!!
Good Afternoon! Is this something or what?!?!? Check out the new slide show to the right. (It May take a minute to load). Click on a picture and it will open into a bigger window.
The snow is starting to slow down and in some cases has stopped west and south of the city. However, the folks north and east of the city could see a few more hours of snow. You can expect the entire area to be out of the accumulating snow by 6pm. For the first time in 30 years, WE HAVE AN OFFICIAL BLIZZARD!!!!!!

Take a look below.... This is an 18 inch ruler. The snow is measuring 15.5 inches.

Be sure to check back often and REFRESH the page when you return for the latest Updates! WE WILL BE POSTING MORE PICTURES SOON. CHECK BACK OFTEN. Also, be sure to check out "The Storm in Alvin's Head" for a little weather humor and discussion.

This will be a 2 part storm that lasts from Friday morning until Saturday afternoon. That's the reason we may see significant accumulation. The MAIN EVENT COMES IN FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. That is when we will pick up our heaviest snowfall totals.

TRACKING THE STORM

TIMELINE

NO ACCUMULATIONS BY FRIDAY MORNING RUSH

  • 7am-8am: SNOW MOVES IN
  • 8am-1pm: SNOW (Heavy At Times)
  • 1pm-5pm: ALL SNOW
4"-5" ACCUMULATION BY EVENING RUSH
  • 5pm-7am Sat: SNOW (Heavy At Times)

ADDITIONAL 6"-8" BY 7am SATURDAY

  • 7am - 9am: BREAK
  • 9am-1pm: Snow (Heavy at times)
  • 1pm-5pm: Scattered Snow showers
ADDITIONAL 2"-4" through 5PM SATURDAY

TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS ARE 12"-15" (MOST EAST)

We typically wouldn't do a rage this big, but there will be a narrow band of where the HEAVIEST SNOW sets up. My best guess would be the counties on and near I-71. Overnight Friday should look quite impressive outside.

Newest Measurement 10.75 inches of snow in Florence, KY. As I type this, a strong band of snow is moving through dropping 1 to 1.5 inches an hour according to radar.

SON!! I think we got enough to make a nice ramp for the kneeboarding now. I hope Nick has recovered from the spills he took last night. Good times. I am still picking the ice pellets out from between my teeth. Let me know if you want to get back on the death boards later today or tomorrow.
